Nigeria National League side COD United have sacked Okey Emordi due to a poor run of results.
Former Enyimba coach Emordi’s sacking was announced on COD’s official Twitter handle on Saturday.
A statement on the handle read: “COD United have parted ways with Coach Okey Emordi this evening following a poor run of results. We wish him all the best in future,”
Meanwhile, a top COD official told Completesportsnigeria.com that the club are yet to decide on who will replace Emordi.
“It is true Okey Emordi has been fired by COD for poor performance,” the official confirmed.
“At the moment the club have not decided on who to replace him.”
Emordi’s final game for COD was in Saturday’s 0-0 home draw against Go-Round FC.
He joined COD from Kano Pillars where he was also fired.
Emordi led Enyimba to the 2004 CAF Champions League title after beating Etoile du Sahel 5-3 on penalties after both teams were tied 3-3 on aggregate.
