Antonio Conte has said that Chelsea will find it difficult to bring in the players they need before the summer’s
transfer window shuts.

Chelsea are still on the lookout for a central defender to add to their squad with their Italian manager’s first
season in the Premier League warming up.

Asked about the difficult of signing players, Conte said: ‘I must be honest. We will have a problem to reach our

“I hope with this transfer window I can improve my squad with some players. I understand our targets are very
difficult to reach.

“This market is very crazy and now we are seeing that it’s very difficult to reach our targets.’
At the Emirates Stadium Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on Friday gave the clearest indication that the duo of
Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez are “99% certain” to join Arsenal soon.

The Gunners will hope to secure their first win of the new campaign when they travel to Vicarage Road to take on
Arsenal won both fixtures last season with their only defeat to the Hornets coming in the quarter-finals of the FA

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Wenger also stated that there will be no changes to his squad that faced
Leicester last weekend.

“I rate him (Deeney) he has technical quality and is a fighter, to find these two together is difficult. Impressed
last year.

“Basically we have the same squad available as last week.”

Following reports that Arsenal are on the verge of signing Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi Wenger said he is
confident of adding to his squad.

“We are working on the deals, but we are not close enough to announce today,” Wenger said.

“Will we sign anyone before the window closes? I’m 99 per cent confident.”

Commenting on Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League draw, which pitted Arsenal in Group A with PSG, Basel and Ludogorets,
Wenger says the target of his team is to finish top of the group.

“Basically we got what we were expected,” he said.

“Maybe PSG is the favourite but we want to finish first.

“It is a good test for us to play PSG. Let’s hope we can get a good first result. They have hit headlines in
transfer market.”

He however stated that they will face Basel and Ludogorets with caution.

“Ludogorets we do not know a lot about them.

“Look at Basle’s record against English teams and you become cautious.”

On the English Football League Cup which pairs Arsenal against Nottingham Forest, Wenger said: “We want to do well
because we have a big squad, always play with younger players and will integrate again.”

On whether Joel Campbell still has a future at Arsenal, Wenger said: “I believe that he has been a victim of the
size of the squad. At an age where he needs to play, don’t rule out he comes back.”

Speaking ahead of his side’s clash against Swansea, Leicester boss manager Claudio Ranieri is hopeful that Nigeria international Ahmed Musa adapt quickly to the playing style of the Foxes.

Ranieri believes the versatile Musa who can play in multiple attacking positions will come good for the club and also wreck defences alongside Vardy.

“They connect well. It is important that Musa understands how we play because the Russian league is very different from English football,” the Italian coach told the Leicester’s official website at his press conference ahead of this weekend’s Premier League game against Swansea.

“They play at a slower tempo. The English league is very fast.

“In the last 10 minutes last week he played very well and created a lot of chances for us. He must increase his fitness and understanding. He can play together with Vardy.

“We bought Musa because he can play wide, behind the striker as well. It’s a good choice for me during the match.”
