Iwobi Loses Out To Dele Alli For Young Player of The Year Award

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi has lost out to Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli for the prize of the Young
Player of the Year at the prestigious London Football Awards for 2017 held on Thursday night Newslegend.com.ng reports.
Everton youngster Ademola Lookman is the other player of Nigerian heritage to miss out although the exciting forward
was also nominated alongside Iwobi, and the duo of Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and Fulham Ryan Sessegnon
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte won the Manager of the Year, while Tottenham Hotspur star Hugo Lloris clinched the
Goalkeeper of the Year sponsored by Ideal Bathrooms.
Some of the attendees at the London Football Awards include Chelsea, Arsenal, Queens Park Rangers as well as John
Salako and Eniola Aluko. Aluko was nominated for the Women’s Player of the Year and her junior brother Sone is a
contender for English Football League Player of the Year.
