Manchester United continued their impressive pre season friendlies of the United States of America with a 2-1 win against Real Salt Lake in the early hours of Tuesday morning at the Rio Tinto stadium Utah, Newslegend.com.ng reports.

United defeated LA Galaxy 5-2 in their first pre season game in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Romelu Lukaku got his United’s first goal in the game while Juan Mata’s injury and the sending off of Antonio Valencia were the other talking points in the game.

Real Salt Lake took the lead midway after some promising attacking move through the first half when Luis Silva latched on to a through ball, shrugging off the challenge of Phil Jones to roll the ball past youngster Joel Pereira in United goal in the 23rd minute.

Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan equalised six minutes later with a low left-footed strike from the edge of the box after being played in by an impressive Jesse Lingard.

Former Everton striker Lukaku then scored what proved to be the winner in the 38th minute on his second appearance for the club when he dribbled past his markers and the Real Salt Lake keeper.

The Red Devils will now focus on the International Champions Cup which starts in the next 48 hours. United’s first ICC game is against city and Premier League rivals, Manchester City on Thursday.
