Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi was in the starting line up in Arsenal’s emphatic 5-1 win against Paris Saint Germain at the Singapore national stadium Saturday afternoon in the International Champions Cup (ICC)..

The game also saw Mesut Ozil and Mohamed Elneny who were not part of the game against Atletico Madrid on Thursday in action.

Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette (brace), Rob Holding and Eddie Nketiah were the scorers for Unai Emery’s side while Christopher Nkunku scored PSG’s consolation goal.

Ozil converted from close range from a brilliant Pierre Emerick Aubameyang cross in the 12th minute to put the Gunners in the ascendency.

Iwobi drifted to the left side of attack and in the 23rd minute saw his shot batted away for corner by PSG keeper Gianluigi Buffon.

Aubameyang saw his goal a minute later ruled out for offside following an Henrikh Mkhitaryan cross.

Aubameyang was  again denied from close range just before the half hour mark.

Theophilus Weah almost equalised with seven minutes to half time but his back heeled effort failed to come off as anticipated.

Christopher Nkunku hit a good shot from the edge of the box in the 41st minute dislodging the trio of Shokdran Mustafi, Hector Bellerin and Elneny.

Emiliano Martinez produced a superb save three minutes into the second half to stop a PSG freekick.

PSG were awarded a penaly when Saed Kolasinac brought down Theophilus Wreah. Nkunku stepped up and scored to restore parity.

Arsenal regained their lead through Alexandre Lacazette  who finished from six yards out from a good cross from youngster Emile Smith Rowe.

Lacazette made it 3-1 afterwards with a header in the 70th minute.

Aaron Ramsey, Lacazette and Reiss Nelson combined beautifully but the latter’s rasping shot was cleared for a corner.

Rob Holding scored from a looping header off a corner kick in the 86th minute.

Eddie Nketiah wrapped up the goals in the dying moments of the game when he ran into space to collect a Reiss Nelson pass to find the bottom left corner.
