Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood on Thursday opined that Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham deserves the trust of head coach Frank Lampard who has preferred him over France international Olivier Giroud.
Abraham who is eligible to play for Nigeria through his parents – his father being a close friend of the Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick- has scored seven Premier League goals this season.
Sherwood bared his mind on Premier League Production’s programme ‘Inside The Premier League’ with Chelsea’s loan system the topic of discussion.
“It all depends on their different developmental pathways,” the onetime Premier League winner with Blackburn Rovers said in reference to Chelsea’s youngsters who have been on loan at other clubs.
